Things to do for families with children at the cottage

There is plenty of space for children to play in the courtyard of our villas. In the front yard there is a well-equipped playhouse and playground furniture. The sandy beach is shallow and child-friendly, so it’s easy to spend time playing in the sandcastles and on the beach.

Equipment to make everyday family life easier is waiting for you in Rantahelmi, including a high chair, baby cot, potty and high chair. Even on a longer holiday, a washing machine, drying cabinet and drying rack will keep everyday life running smoothly.

Youngsters will love the upstairs in Rantahelmi, with plenty of sleeping space, TV and internet access.

Tips for the day:

  • Make a morning of nature bingo in the garden
  • Have a warm cocoa moment at home
  • A fairy tale on the terrace – birds and the sea provide the background music

From the warmth of summer to the silence of winter

Things to do all year round

Spring

The terrace is a fascinating place to watch the ice melt and the spring migration of birds. Enjoy the longer days and outdoor activities in nature on foot or on our cottage bikes.

Summer

Start your summer morning with a swim or go for a short trip on a SUP board/rowing boat. Yard games, barbecuing and berry picking complete a day at the cottage. For the golf enthusiast, there is Yyteri Golf, Kalafornia Golf Course and Rauma Golf within 30 km.

Autumn

The air freshens and the brown colours nature. The berry picking continues and the mushroom forest rewards with hundreds of berries. It’s a good idea to light a fire at the cottage and enjoy the peaceful, darkening evenings.

Winter

Silence is present when snowshoeing and ice fishing fit into the winter day programme. The nearest ski trails are in the village of Kuivalahti and in the centre of Eurajoki. On a clear evening, the sky is full of stars, and inside you can enjoy a warm reading by the fireplace.
