Booking terms
Booking and payment
The booking is confirmed when the customer has paid the deposit (25%) by the due date. The final payment is made 2 weeks before the start of the holiday. If the booking is made less than 4 weeks before the start of the holiday, the full amount will be charged at once.
Cancellations
We hope to be informed of the cancellation as soon as the obstacle arises. Cancellations must always be made in writing (email or SMS). Cancellation will be subject to a deposit. If the cancellation is made less than 14 days before the start of the holiday, the full amount will be charged.
If the cancellation is due to sudden illness etc. (a doctor’s certificate is required), the rent will be refunded except for the deposit. If the cancellation occurs during the holiday, the rent paid by the customer will not be refunded.
Landlord’s right to cancel the booking
In case of force majeure, the landlord may cancel the reservation. The customer is then entitled to a full refund of the amount paid to the lessor.
Staying in a resort
The villa is available from 4 PM on the day of arrival until 12 PM on the day of departure, and from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon for weekend bookings. During the summer season, the exchange day for weekly rentals is Saturday.
The rent includes the rented villa with all its equipment (crockery, electricity, wood, rowing boat, washing and cleaning materials, mattresses, blankets and pillows, toilet and kitchen towels).
Linen, towels and final cleaning are not included in the rent You can rent bed linen and towels in advance (20 €/set) and book the final cleaning for 95 €/villa or 125 €/both villas.
If the final cleaning has not been ordered from Rantahelmi villas, the customer is responsible for the cleaning during and at the end of the holiday. If at the end of the booking, the cleaning has been carried out incompletely and not in accordance with the cleaning instructions provided in the villas, we will charge for the extra work. The owner is entitled to charge an additional cleaning fee of at least 250 €.
The number of persons staying in the villas must respect the bed capacity indicated on the website. The maximum number of overnight stays is 8 persons in Rantahelmi and 2 persons in Pikkuhelmi. The use of a tent or caravan on the site of the resort requires a separate permission from the owner. Smoking indoors is prohibited.
Compensation for damage
The customer is obliged to report and compensate without delay any damage caused to the holiday destination or its movable property.

Data is not regularly transferred or disclosed outside the EU or the European Economic Area.
8. Principles of register protection
Personal data is kept confidential. Manual records are kept in a locked room and are only accessible to authorised persons. The hardware on which customer data resides is protected by a firewall and other technical measures to ensure a high level of security. Access to the system containing customer data is restricted to those employees whose job requires them to process customer data. Each user has his own user name and password for the system.
